Comprehensive Equity Policy & Complaint Procedures

It is the policy of Central Rivers AEA not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, marital status, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background or disability in its educational programs, activities, or employment policies as required by all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action laws, directives, and regulations of federal, state and local governing bodies and agencies. This policy is outlined in Board Policy 101.2.

Employees of Central Rivers AEA have the right to file a formal complaint alleging noncompliance with federal and state regulations requiring nondiscrimination in educational programs and employment. All employees have a right to counsel at any scheduled hearings with an impartial hearing officer reviewing the complaint. Board Policy 101.2R1 details the procedures for filing a formal complaint and is downloadable.
